New Delegates

The ILMC is an invitation-only event.  ALL new delegates must be nominated by two existing ILMC delegates, who have attended on more than one occasion. The ILMC has a limited number of places for new delegates, and once those places are filled, we reserve the right to refuse applications from new delegates.

ILMC Networking Scheme

Twenty years ago, when the ILMC was a relatively small affair, meeting people was easy: you simply nudged the person next to you and said hello. But as the conference has grown (and in spite of time-honoured tools such as the Globetrotters Guide, Delegates List and the Rogues Gallery, people are finding it harder to meet each other.

Delegates therefore now have the option of joining the ILMC Networking Scheme. To participate, click on the relevant box when you register or if you have already registered, email registration@ilmc.com.

On Friday, 13 February 2009, you will receive an email from us containing a link and password allowing you access to the networking section of the website, where you will be able to view other networkers information and contact details.

Members of the scheme can then get in touch directly, or meet immediately after Friday afternoon’s Talking Shop session, in the Lower Ground Floor Lobby bar, outside Room 1.

If you are a new delegate, you should also take advantage of the New Delegates Orientation Meeting at 12.30pm on Friday 13 March 2009. Older hands who want to mix with our new delegates can drop in at the end of the meeting at 1pm for the Robertson Taylor Welcome Drinks party immediately outside Room 2.

• To comply with regulations, all electronic credit card transactions are carried out by SecureTrading Ltd (www.securetrading.com)
  
• Tickets or entry passes are not issued until delegates arrive at the conference, confirmation of a formal place will be in the form of an email AND invoice, sent electronically. Upon receipt of an online registration, the registrant will receive an automated email confirming that we have received the application – this does NOT constitute a confirmed registration.
• The ILMC will make no refunds if cancellations are received AFTER 6pm GMT Friday 27 February 2009. Any cancellations prior to that date will receive a refund of the total paid minus £50 (including VAT) cancellation fee to cover administration costs.
• New delegates who register and pay the registration fee prior to receiving official confirmation that they have been accepted to attend the conference, will be charged a £50 administration fee, that will be deducted once they successfully register.
• All transactions are carried out in pounds sterling.
• NO final reservations can be made on your behalf (for the conference and/or particular events) until the ILMC Registration Office has received your payment AND issued a confirmation email and invoice.
• NO delegate name will be listed in the Globetrotters Guide unless payment is received by 6pm GMT Friday,27 February 2009.
• ALL pre-registered places must be booked on or before 6pm GMT Tuesday, 10 March 2009. Places may be booked in person by delegates that have attended previously, during the conference weekend, but entrance cannot be guaranteed without pre-registration.
• Invoices and GTG entries will contain the company name that appears on the Registration Form. No changes will be made.  Conference passes can display an alternative company name. Alternative names should be indicated on the Registration Form in the section entitled 'Conference Pass'.
• Visas are the responsibility of the attending delegates and letters of invitation are not issued by ILMC.
• CONFERENCE PASSES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES whilst in the Royal Garden Hotel, throughout the ILMC weekend.
• The organisers reserve the right to charge the full registration fee for the replacement of lost or misplaced conference passes.
• The ILMC takes no responsibility for the fulfillment of gifts or prizes offered by third parties during the conference.
