While the ILMC draws delegates from across the live music industry, the ILMC Production Meeting (IPM) specifically draws professionals from the world of production: production managers, promoter’s reps, venue operators and specialist suppliers.

In 2009, the second edition of the IPM drew 75 production professionals from 15 countries, who met to discuss common issues and identify better ways of working on the international touring scene. Delegates attending included Lee Charteris (Flash), Bryan Grant (Britannia Row), Keith Wood (AEG Live) and Roger Barrett (Star Events).

Building on its success, 11 March 2010 sees the IPM expanding to accommodate significant interest around it, and immensely positive feedback from previous attendees. We are also proud to announce Total Production International as our associate media partner. The third IPM expects 150 international delegates and the meeting schedule is expanding to six sessions, including breakout meetings.

Discussion topics will include the establishment of common procedures for promoters’ reps and production managers on a pan-European level, in order to ensure consistency and safety.

“We’re going to be looking at what happens when something goes wrong and you have to change your usual approved way of working,” says IPM chairman Chrissy Uerlings. “We need procedures to make it easier for people on the floor to decide whether or not a show is going to happen.”

The IPM will also include a networking buffet lunch and post-event drinks and nibbles, integrating with other ILMC delegates in the evening. The event is free to attend for ILMC delegates (although registration is separate), or £95 for non delegates.
