Celebrity racing drivers join the Super Grand Prix!
Ocean waves hello at Doors Open Party.
'Eastern Bloc Kollektiv' gets into the spirit...

Ocean Presents:
"Doors Open Party"

Friday 9 March / 13:00 - 15:00

Main Room Foyer
Lower Ground Floor
Royal Garden Hotel

The venue sponsoring this year's welcome drinks reception during Friday lunchtime will be London's newest concert facility, Ocean, which appropriately enough opens its own doors only a few days after the ILMC has ended.

If previous years are anything to go by, this little incentive offered to encourage prompt registration will end up doing more damage to their annual budget than a U2 rider when over 500 thirsty international freeloaders collide in a room full of free drink - but if you don't say anything, we won't...

Aiken Promotions Present:
"Match Of The Year"

Saturday 10 March / 19:00 - 22:00

Wingate and Finchley Football Club
Abrahams Stadium
Summers Lane
Finchley
London N12
Website: www.bafnet.com/wingate
Email: wffc@bafnet.com

Contact Peter Aiken on (0)2890 381047 and find yourself in the stadium of one of North London's favourite semi-pro teams - being kicked to death by a bunch of over-enthusiastic Celtic delegates...

Welldone Present:
Super Grand Prix 2001

Friday 9 March / 19:00 - 23:00

The Raceway Kings Cross
The Central Warehouse
North London Freight Terminal
York Way, Kings Cross
London N1

Tel: 020 7833 1000

Finland's own Welldone challenge you to race a 270cc go-kart in the new, improved SUPER GRAND PRIX 2001.

You'll be taken from the conference to the UK's largest indoor karting circuit, where around 50 of your showbiz chums will be racing in teams for the coveted Stacey Cup. You'll be kitted out with a helmet and race suit, and provided with a brand-new, high speed kart for a 3 hour endurance race around 750 meters of banked, tarmac track. Watch out for a crazed event sponsor doing his level best to 'Finnish' you off...

ILMC karters will no doubt be pleased to hear that they will be sharing the circuit this year with one of the most successful ever American go-karting racing drivers, Phil Geibler, who has won numerous National Karting Championships over the last 10 years.

Phil has just completed 2 years in the French Formula 3 Championships (in which he was was runner up last year), and won the prestigous Formula Palmer Audi Winter Championship in November 2000. He will be driving in the British Formula 3 Championship this season - and looks set to be a major star of Formula 1 in the very near future.

Joining Phil will be Robin Rudholm - a 21 year old Swedish driver who is believed to be another Scandinavian Formula 1 star in the making. Robin has been karting since he was 6 years old and will be driving the British and European Formula Ford series in the no.1 seat of Van Diemen Racing. He was the winner of both the Swedish and Nordic Formula Ford championships in 1999, and finished 3rd in the FF Festival - the unofficial World Championship in 2000.

Our celebrity drivers have agreed to be on hand to come to the rescue of those who need some pro-advice (ie: everyone...) and to take a turn in each team's kart in order to knock a few hours off their overall times.

£ 45.00 per person
Check the appropriate box on your registration form.

A ShowTours courtesy coach will collect drivers from the Bus Stop in the hotel lobby at 18:15 sharp - and deliver them back in time to catch a plate of fish n' chips in the Cyber Cafe afterwards. A couple of extra tips: trainers are a good idea, alcohol is a bad one...

Robertson Taylor Insurance Brokers Present:
The ILMC Gala Dinner / Arthur Awards /
Tomb Ravers' Disco

Saturday 10 March / 19:30 - late

The Four Seasons Hotel
Hamilton Place, Park Lane
London W1
Website: www.fourseasons.com

An evening of ancient Egyptian magic and mystery, featuring a sumptuous 4 course meal (specially selected to suit all palates), fine wines, exotic entertainment and VIP guest appearances - marred only by the unnecessary spectacle of the world's most tasteless awards ceremony, The Arthurs.

Carriages will be provided, with table reservations available and guests welcome.

£ 90.00 per person
Check the appropriate box on your registration form.

A ShowTours courtesy coach shuttle service to the venue will pick up diners at the Bus Stop in the hotel lobby from 19.00 onwards.

Tomb Ravers Disco

Laminate-carrying delegates who missed out on the Gala Dinner itself will be able to come along to the venue and see what a good time the rest of us had when we throw open the doors for a spot of after-dinner monster-mashing in the heart of our five-star, air-conditioned ancient pyramid.

DJs from the top operation, Rubbish, will be spinning the cool (and not so cool) platters on their wheels of steel, while semi-naked ladies encourage you to make a complete 'Tut' of yourself at belly-dancing - but if you find yourself propping up the bar with someone wrapped head-to-toe in bandages, you'd better just hope that it's only one of our Scottish delegates who's somehow managed to survive Peter Aiken's soccer match...

Our ShowTours courtesy coaches will be running a half-hourly shuttle service between the conference hotel and The Four Seasons from 23.00 onwards to deliver late-comers to the party and weary revellers back to the relative peace and quiet of Carl's Bar.

Tomb Ravers' Disco will be sponsored by the leading technology company, Madge.Web, specialists in 'managed hosting, streaming and international distribution' (which is just as well because we suspect there'll be plenty of all three going to be going on after everyone's had a few drinks...).

Royal Garden Hotel,
London

Well, there could only really be one choice, couldn't there? Spain's most elegant promoter, Gay Mercader, has pledged to deliver the bubbly stuff to close ILMC meetings as long as he's still standing - so we're sure that everybody will join us in drinking to his continued good health and prosperity...!

12 St Albans Grove,
London W8
Tel: 020 7937 6513

  • Makarov Muusik
  • Multimedia
  • Sofia Music Enterprises
  • Interkoncerts
  • Vynil
  • Zone Vision
  • Traffic Control Group NY
