Time is increasingly rare for Salomon Hazot at Nous
Productions right now. He’s just promoted the fastest-selling tour in French
concert history and is continuing to expand outside of Europe, all on top of searching
for new offices and staff.
“We sold out 105,000 tickets for Tokio
Hotel in four hours,” he says, of the 12-date tour that includes de Bercy in Paris. “Nothing has
ever sold out as quickly in France
before.”

"Since making contacts in India
through his Bollywood touring production, Bharati, Hazot is working more
frequently in the world’s second largest market, co-promoting with Venkat
Vardhan of DNA Networks.
“I’m just finalising the bill for the next
Rock in India festival,” he says. The inaugural event this March sold out 20,000
tickets at Bangalore’s Palace Grounds with Iron Maiden. “It was the first time a heavy
rock band went to India, so it was very emotional. The audience was crying and the band was
shocked at how nice everybody was. It was very cool.”
Hazot twins the Bangalore line-up
with Center Stage Management’s Desert Rock festival in Dubai, which takes
place the weekend before (7-8 March, 2008). Last year, Nous Productions
promoted 800 shows, including the annual Rock en Seine Festival (30,000-cap) in
Paris.
“I’m looking for new offices as well,” he
says. “We’ve got 12 staff at the moment but I need another three. Our current
offices just aren’t big enough any more.”
