Although final figures for the year are
still incomplete, The Police’s gross is a long way off the Rolling Stones’
tally for 2006, which topped the annual list with income of over $425m (€287m).
Without the likes of the Stones, Madonna and U2 on the road, 2007 has been a
much quieter year for touring in general.
Other awards at the event included Prince
(Top Boxscore) for his 21-night run at The O2, New York’s Madison
Square Gardens was named Top Arena, Creative Artists Agency were named Top
Agency and Live Nation, Top Promoter.
