EMI boss Roger Faxton is ushering in (another) restructure at EMI Group, the UK based major label amd publisher.
EMI Group will be structured (again) around three regional divisions - North America, Latin America and the rest of the world. Faxon himself will oversee the former, working closely with Colin Finkelstein, currently President of that region, who will now have the title of COO for that division.
Nestor Casonu will become CEO of Latin America, David Kassler will have responsibility for the ROW division, which will include Europe. Some global units remain to provide services to the regional divisions and these cover finance, legal, technology, HR, digital business development and artist relations. Faxon has elevated his COO from EMI Music Publishing, Leo Corbett, to be with him at a group level role. However, some of the previous 'star' hirings of recent times are on the way out it seems - Ronn Werre, currently COO of North America, Billy Mann, currently chief new music and artist relations boss outside of the US and UK and Nick Gatfield, EMI's big post-Terra Firma A&R hire, are all on the move out of EMI.
In other news from the majors, at Warners, Aussie music business veteran Ed St John has stood down as President and CEO of Warner Music Australasia.
