The absent Amy Winehouse won five Grammys last night (10th January) including best artist, best record and best song (ironically for Rehab).

Kanye West picked up four and the evergreen Bruce Springsteen picked up three.

At the BAFTAs in London, Atonement won Best Film and La Vie en Rose, the film about the life of Edith Piaf, picked up four gongs including best actress (Marion Cotillard) and best film music. The Bourne Ultimatum won best sound, the best director award went to Ethan and Joel Cohen for No Country For Old Men and Daniel Day Lewis won best actor for There Will Be Blood.
