BBC Radio 1 announces summer of live events

The UK's BBC Radio 1 has announced details of its live music plans for 2008, which will include coverage of the Bloc Weekend and the Miami Winter Music Conference in March, Live Nation's Download Festival and the UK's biggest festival, Glastonbury in June, Festival Republic's Latitude Festival in July, Creamfields, London Mela and the Underage Festival in August.

 

The UK's BBC Radio 1 has announced details of its live music plans for 2008, which will include coverage of the Bloc Weekend and the Miami Winter Music Conference in March, Live Nation's Download Festival and the UK's biggest festival, Glastonbury in June, Festival Republic's Latitude Festival in July, Creamfields, London Mela and the Underage Festival in August.

 

They will also take in Bestival in September (hosted by Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank) and The Warehouse Project in Manchester in October. In addition to that, the station will stage its own live activity, with a BBC "Introducing" tour in April for new talent, the Radio 1 Big Weekend in May (in Kent) and Radio 1 will nip over to Ibiza and be involved, as usual, in the BBC's Electric Proms in the Autumn.
