China's Midi Modern Fesitval delayed |

Beijing's Midi Modern Music Festival has been postponed despite
having been given initial Government go ahead to feature 30
international bands this year.
Speculation now is that the event will now take
place after the Olympics to avoid any unseemly pro-Tibet protests like those
that marred the torch runs in London and Paris - the offical reason
being that local police say they aren't able to provide sufficient security for
the event to proceed. The event is now scheduled for October - post the Beijing
Olympics.
