It was ladies night at the MTV European Music Awards in Liverpool last night with Pink, Britney Spears and Katy Perry all winning awards.
Britney won two gongs, album of the year for Blackout and best act of 2008, Pink picked up a gong for her hit single 'So What' and Perry, who presented the awards, won best newcomer.
Kanye West picked up the ultimate urban award and the "rock out award" went to 30 Seconds to Mars. Live sets came from the Killers, Kanye, Beyonce, Duffy and Estelle.
Sir Paul McCartney picked up the Ultimate Legend award from U2's Bono.
