Glastonbury generates £73 million for local economy in 2007 |

A report published by Somerset's Mendip District Council has found that last year's Glastonbury Festival generated over £73million of spending in the local area.
A report published by Somerset's Mendip District Council has found that last year's Glastonbury Festival generated over £73million of spending in the local area.
Each
of the 177,500 ticket-holders and traders on site spent on average
£293.24, generating approximately £25.6 million, with off-site spending
reaching £26.5 million. In addition to that, there was a further £21.2
million in spending associated with staging the event.
