Isle of Skye off as 2007 debts spiral

CMU Daily report that the Isle Of Skye Festival, launched in 2005 and last year headlined by Kasabian, Primal Scream and KT Tunstall has been cancelled because of organisers have concluded that debts resulting from 2007 have become critical.

Hopes to expand the event in 2007 with the high profile headliners failed in terms of ticket sales with Festival Director John Gilbertson saying "we jumped out of our league. The festival was expecting 8,000 people a day and we managed half that".
