Morrissey to Sue NME
Morrissey has said he will issue legal proceedings against the NME after an the magazine quoted him as saying "the gates of England are flooded - the contry has been thrown away" and other "naive and inflammatory" comments on immigration. Morrissey is said to be furious that the piece makes him out to have far right views and interestingly the journalist who undertook the interview, Tim Jonze, asked for his name to be removed from the piece. Morrissey is claiming that the article misquotes him, has omitted critical parts of the interview and has distorted the tone of the piece.
