Claude Nobs (1936-2013)

ILMC is immensely sad to report the passing of Montreux Jazz Festival founder Claude Nobs, who died in hospital in Switzerland on 10 January, having sustained critical injuries in a skiing accident on 24 December. He was 76.

Lasse Olsson

ILMC is sad to report that Viva Art Music founder, Lasse Olsson, died on 18 August, 2012. He was 52 and had been suffering from cancer.

Brent Grulke (1961-2012)

On the morning of August 13th, Brent Grulke, Creative Director of SXSW passed away as a result of a heart attack after undergoing oral surgery. He was 52. 

Willie Robertson

Willie Robertson, pioneer of the insurance industry and one of the live music businesses most enigmatic figures, has died following a determined fight against cancer at the age of 67. Willie passed away on Saturday 9 July, 2011. His wife Angie and family were with him.

Matthew Sztumpf

Matthew Stzumpf died on March 21, 2010, after suffering a brain aneurysm. He will be badly missed by the many friends and colleagues he encountered around the world during a long and varied career in live music.
